Kyle Thomas Glasser is an inspiration to those who know him. As a student, he has maintained a 3.54 GPA. He is a member of Sigma Alpha Lambda National Leadership. He routinely volunteers his time – like going on a 2010 mission trip to Central America. There, he assisted in providing medical aid to the people of Costa Rica and Nicaragua. His faith and devotion to his fellow man are evident in all that Kyle Thomas Glasser does.

“The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather in a lack of will.” – Vince Lombardi

There are words, and there are words to live by. Kyle Thomas Glasser chooses to live by words that have a meaning deeper than their face value.  Bobby Unser once said, “Success is where preparation and opportunity meet.” Kyle Thomas Glasser demonstrates this by working toward his dream of being a doctor. Kyle Thomas Glasser is a student at UGA, a member of the Alpha Epsilon Delta Premedical Honor Society and Honors Organization, and the American Medical Student Association. Kyle Thomas Glasser has situated himself to succeed; he does not wait idly for opportunities to find him.

Kyle Thomas Glasser also notes that Dr. Nido Qubein said it well: “Your present circumstances don’t determine where you can go; they merely determine where you start.” One of Kyle Thomas Glasser’s influences, Qubein came to the United States as a poor immigrant with little money and no direction, yet today serves as the president of a large university. Kyle Thomas Glasser uses this insight daily, encouraging others to never give up their dreams, regardless of where they are or from where they came.

“Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.” John Wooden spoke this. Kyle Thomas Glasser believes that by following this advice, a person can maintain self-respect and position him or herself to accomplish goals with dignity. Another John Wooden quote that Kyle Thomas Glasser takes to heart: “Failure is not fatal, but failure to change might be.”

Kyle Thomas Glasser has a will to succeed that is uncommon for one so young. Kyle Thomas Glasser works hard to be a true role model for others, both young and old. Since Kyle Thomas Glasser was just a child, he has known his place in life is to serve. Kyle Thomas Glasser’s persistence and strong will to achieve his goal of working in medicine has not gone unnoticed. The hard work that Kyle Thomas Glasser has put into his goals has been rewarded with scholarships, academic acknowledgements and the respect of his teachers, peers and family.

Twenty one year old Kyle Thomas Glasser’s mission in life is simple: to serve others.  A student of medicine, a devout Catholic and an active member of the leadership organization Sigma Alpha Lambda, Kyle Thomas Glasser spends much of his time devoted to making a positive impact on his world.  When he isn’t busy with studies as a senior at UGA, Kyle Thomas Glasser can be found mentoring incoming students and shadowing Dr. Jeff Traub in Atlanta.
